Rules for using the CD and Plate Reader:
- Use of either instrument is prohibited without a faculty member or member of Dr. Thompson's lab present.
- Only graduate students and postdocs who have undergone training on the instruments are allowed to perform experiments unsupervised (rule 1 still applies).
- All undergraduate students wishing to use the instrument must be accompanied by a graduate student (from their lab) that has been trained on the instrument AT ALL TIMES. The Thompson Lab is not responsible for the supervision of undergraduates not in the Thompson Lab.
- Users must supply their own cuvettes/plates, and you must clean up after yourself (put chairs, pipettes, etc. back where they were).
- You must record your use of the instrument and all relevant details of your experiment on the appropriate usage form in the lab.
